Senator Shaheen supports commonsense reform to U.S. immigration policies, which include maintaining strong border security while rewarding those who play by the rules and follow legal processes to enter the country. Shaheen also supports efforts to provide a rigorous but fair pathway to citizenship for the millions of undocumented immigrants who are already living in the United States. She advocates for legislation that provides lasting solutions for immigrants brought here as children, who are often referred to as “Dreamers”. In the Senate, Shaheen will continue to work across the aisle on bipartisan, comprehensive immigration policies to bolster our border security, while protecting the dignity of those who wish to immigrate into the United States legally.
