ICYMI: Shaheen Receives Prestigious CEPA 2023 Transatlantic Leadership Award

(Washington, DC) - U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Chair of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation and co-chair of the Senate NATO Observer Group, was presented with the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) 2023 Transatlantic Leadership Award for her ardent support of Ukraine as a senior member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services Committees and the U.S. Senate Ukraine Caucus.

“I am grateful to CEPA for this award and their steadfast commitment to bringing leaders together from around the world to aid in the defense of Ukraine,” said Senator Shaheen. “I am committed to continuing to work across the aisle to defend freedom and strengthen the transatlantic Alliance as democracies around the world support Ukraine in its fight for self-determination.”

CEPA Forum is an annual transatlantic forum convening global leaders to address shared challenges facing the transatlantic Alliance. This year, the Forum focuses on the transatlantic response to Russia’s war in Ukraine and how to turn unity into action.

“CEPA is honored to award Senator Shaheen for her exceptional contributions to strengthening the transatlantic alliance and supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom as a member of the Senate Ukraine Caucus,” said Katie Sendak, the Director for Transatlantic Defense and Security at CEPA, who presented Senator Shaheen with the award.
