Shaheen Statement on Award of Service Pistol Contract to SIG Sauer
**Contract worth $580 million will provide war fighters with the P320 pistol to replace the M9**
(Washington, DC) -- Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement after SIG Sauer, based in Newington, NH, was awarded the contract to provide the U.S. Army the P320 pistol:
"I congratulate SIG Sauer on receiving this well-deserved contract," said Shaheen. "Granite Staters can take great pride in knowing that our men and women in uniform will be carrying a locally made side arm as they defend our nation. This new contract builds on our state's many proud contributions to our national security."
