FRIDAY IN CONCORD: SHAHEEN TO ATTEND PURPLE HEART CEREMONY AT NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE HOUSE

Sergeant First Class Paul Dimond of Manchester to be recognized for his service in Afghanistan

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will attend the official presentation of the Purple Heart Medal to Sergeant First Class Paul Dimond at the New Hampshire State House at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 28. Sgt. First Class Paul Dimond of Manchester served with the New Hampshire National Guard in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and in 2011 deployed to Afghanistan as a member of the United States Army Reserve 98th Training Division as a Drill Sergeant. Dimond was wounded by an improvised explosive device during a graduation ceremony in Afghanistan.
