MANCHESTER, LEBANON AIRPORTS RECEIVE FUNDING FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS
(Washington, D.C.) – Manchester Airport and Lebanon Municipal Airport have received grants from the Department of Transportation through the Federal Aviation Administration for infrastructure improvements, announced U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH).
Manchester Airport received $4 million to replace the airline ramp, which is designed to accommodate anticipated airline activity for the next 20 years. Lebanon Municipal Airport received $1.3 million to remove runway obstructions and improve lighting.
“Investments in infrastructure are crucial and I am pleased these funds are going to two airports in New Hampshire that really need the money for critical improvement projects,” Shaheen said.
“We appreciate the patience of our customers and our airlines as we upgrade the aircraft parking apron adjacent to the airline terminal. This phase of the project is scheduled to be complete in time for the busy Thanksgiving travel season. We thank Senator Shaheen for her steadfast support of the airport and this important infrastructure project,” said Airport Director Mark Brewer.
