MONDAY IN CLAREMONT: SHAHEEN TO DISCUSS JOB TRAINING EFFORTS AT RIVER VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Later in West Lebanon, Shaheen to visit Pro-Cut International to further discuss small business job creation, economic growth
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will visit River Valley Community College (RVCC) in Claremont Monday, August 4, at 10:30 a.m. to highlight how job training programs like the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Grant Program (TAACCCT) can bolster economic opportunity for local businesses and help prepare students for high-skill careers. TAACCCT provides institutions with the resources to partner with local companies and deliver career training programs that can be completed in two years or less, ultimately helping New Hampshire develop a talented and skilled workforce able to meet future economic demand.
Later, Shaheen will visit Pro-Cut International, Inc. in West Lebanon at 11:45 a.m. to highlight how expanding trade and exporting opportunities can help small businesses expand and create jobs. Pro-Cut has taken advantage of the State Trade Export Promotion (STEP) to tap into new overseas markets and grow.
