MONDAY IN CONCORD: SHAHEEN TOURS NEW HAMPSHIRE INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS CENTER
Shaheen will tour New Hampshire all-crimes, all-hazards, counter-terrorism information and analysis center following appointment as Ranking Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Department of Homeland Security Shaheen’s visit comes as deadline approaches for long-term Homeland Security funding
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will be briefed by New Hampshire Commissioner of Safety John Barthelmes, as well as Colonel Robert Quinn and Director Perry Plummer, on the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center (NHIAC) and its capabilities at the NHIAC in Concord, Monday, January 26 at 10:45 AM. Shaheen, who was recently appointed as Ranking Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Department of Homeland Security will tour the facility following the briefing. Shaheen’s visit comes as a deadline looms to authorize long-term funding for the Department of Homeland Security so that critical national security operations can continue. The NHIAC provides strategic and tactical information directed at threats facing New Hampshire and its citizens.
Following the briefing, Shaheen and the officials will hold a photo opportunity and press availability in the NHIAC Situation Room. Members of the media will be permitted to attend the conclusion of the briefing but will not be permitted on the tour.
