NEW HAMPSHIRE CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION ANNOUNCES OVER $1.5 MILLION FOR WIRELESS INFRASTRUCTURE TO RESPOND TO NATURAL DISASTERS
Washington, DC--- Senator Judd Gregg, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter and Congressman Paul Hodes today announced an over $1.5 million federal grant from the Economic Development Administration to the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development to build wireless telecommunications infrastructure.
The grant will help New Hampshire construct and upgrade telecommunications infrastructure and web-based systems to make the economy more resistant to natural disasters and mitigate risks to businesses throughout the state, encouraging growth and job creation.
"This grant will help New Hampshire respond to natural disasters and upgrade our telecommunications and web infrastructure while we create more jobs in our state," the New Hampshire Delegation said in a joint statement. "As winter approaches, the construction of wireless infrastructure will help state disaster officials respond to any natural disaster and keep small businesses throughout the Granite State operational."
