NEW HAMPSHIRE DELEGATION ANNOUNCES $8 MILLION IN DISASTER RELIEF FOR LINCOLN, LEBANON

Relief will help repair flood damage to roads and bridges

(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Senators  Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) and Congresswomen Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) and Annie Kuster (NH-02) announced today that critical disaster relief resources have been awarded to Lincoln and Lebanon for road and bridge repair as a result of severe storm and flooding damage.

“These New Hampshire communities have been devastated by severe storms and are still in need of assistance to rebuild,” said Shaheen, Ayotte, Shea-Porter and Kuster.  “This assistance will support critical rebuilding efforts in both Lincoln and Lebanon.”

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) specifically awarded $4.7 million for bridge repair in Lincoln as a result of Hurricane Irene in 2011 and $3.3 million to repair Slayton Hill Road that was damaged during flooding last summer.
