SHAHEEN: $300,000 IN TRANSPORTATION FUNDS COMING TO PEASE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen today announced that Pease International Airport will receive a grant of $300,000 in U.S. Department of Transportation funding through the Federal Aviation Administration. The funds are designated to the Pease Airport to help fund an update to the airport master plan.

“Pease International is a key cargo and passenger transportation hub for the Seacoast and all of New Hampshire, and I’m glad to announce this funding that will help reassess the best use of airport facilities,” said Senator Shaheen. “I look forward to continuing to work with local and federal officials to ensure that this and other important infrastructure projects receive the support they need.”

The $300,000 grant will help fund an update to the airport master plan originally completed in 1995. The study will help determine the best use of airport facilities and the optimal overall operational layout for the major aviation activities at the airport.
