“New Hampshire’s firefighters and EMTs have been working tirelessly to protect and care for our communities during the COVID-19 crisis, despite the immense personal risks they face each day and sacrifices they make being apart from their families,” said Shaheen. “These heroes are critical to our response to this public health emergency and the federal government has a responsibility to provide them with the resources and support they need to stay safe and healthy in the line of duty. I appreciated the opportunity I had today to hear their firsthand experiences on the frontlines and will continue to fight for them as Congress continues discussions on upcoming relief legislation.”
