SHAHEEN HONORS 96-YEAR-OLD CLUBMOBILE VOLUNTEER FOR SERVICE IN WWII

One day after she helped pass a Senate Resolution recognizing Red Cross Clubmobile volunteers, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) made a stop in Rye to personally thank Margo Harrington for her service as a Clubmobile volunteer during World War II. To help celebrate Harrington’s 96^th birthday a day earlier, Shaheen met with Harrington at her home to present her with a copy of the resolution honoring her courage and bravery.

"This is part of history that needs to be remembered," Shaheen said during the presentation. "It's way past time we recognize your service and that of the many other women who served with you."
