Shaheen, Risch to Lead Congressional Delegation to Halifax International Security Forum

(Washington, DC) – Next month, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committees, and U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-ID), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will lead a bipartisan congressional delegation to participate in the 13th annual Halifax International Security Forum. Shaheen and Risch will be joined by Senators John Barrasso (R-WY), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Chris Coons (D-DE) and hundreds of national security leaders from around the world to discuss strategic cooperation on common global security goals. They will participate in conversations on U.S. leadership and coordination with allies to address the climate crisis, the fall of Afghanistan, an emboldened China and global issues around women, peace and security.
