SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON 70th ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on 70th anniversary of D-Day:
“Today we remember the bravery and selflessness of the American and Allied Forces that together stormed the beaches of Normandy 70 years ago. Thousands gave the ultimate sacrifice to begin the effort to liberate the oppressed people of Europe and defeat Hitler. We can never forget what they did that day and how they shaped the world forever.”
