Shaheen Statement on Extensive Water Damage at the Manchester VA

(Washington, DC)—U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement after the Manchester VA Medical Center experienced extensive water damage from a pipe failure, impacting care in multiple clinics:

“The water damage that occurred at the Manchester VA this morning is very concerning,” said Shaheen. “My foremost priority is that veterans scheduled for treatment be served at other facilities until the Manchester VA is again fully operational. I’ve been in contact with Acting Director Montoya for an assessment of the damage and was encouraged by the efforts underway to maintain care for veterans that are impacted.”
