SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON GORHAM PAPER AND TISSUE MILL

(Manchester, NH) - U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released this statement following news today that Gorham Paper and Tissue will reduce its production and lay off employees during the winter months due to high natural gas prices:

“I’m disappointed to hear that Gorham Paper and Tissue is facing layoffs and reduced hours for employees.  I will continue to work closely with state, local and company officials, and remain committed to doing all I can to support the mill and its employees.”
