Shaheen Statement on House Republican Leadership’s Decision to Pull the Affordable Care Act Repeal Vote

(Manchester, NH) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement after House Republican leadership pulled the bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act:

“This bill would take away healthcare and increase costs for millions of Americans and tens of thousands of Granite Staters,” said Shaheen. “It’s not surprising that President Trump and Republican leadership haven’t been able to sell it to their own party. It’s time for them to admit that while the Affordable Care Act is not perfect, it has made New Hampshire and the country healthier and is worth improving, rather than repealing.”
