Shaheen Statement on Passing of Former Director of NH State Police Colonel Paul O’Leary

(Washington, DC) -- Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on the passing of former Director of the New Hampshire State Police, Colonel Paul O’Leary:

“I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Colonel Paul O’Leary. He was beloved in every corner of the state,” said Senator Shaheen. “My fondest memories of Paul were during my first campaign for governor – he was a volunteer and drove me everywhere, from the North Country down to the Southern Tier. I will always be grateful for his kindness and spirit and cherish the many campaign stops and conversations we shared across New Hampshire. We are all indebted to Paul for his decades of service and sacrifice to our state.  My thoughts and prayers are with Paul’s family tonight, and the entire New Hampshire community as we mourn his loss.”
