Shaheen Statement on Passing of Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

(Manchester, NH) — U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement after the passing of former Senate Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid:

“Harry Reid was a statesman. But more than that: he was a good man and a devoted public servant. As our Senate Majority Leader, he delivered the historic Affordable Care Act, steered our nation through the Great Recession and secured numerous other legislative victories that put working families first,” said Senator Shaheen. “I am heartbroken for his family, friends and Nevadans as we mourn the loss of a titan. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.”
