SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON RETIREMENT OF JUSTICE SOUTER

(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen released the following statement today following the announcement that Justice David Souter will be retiring from the U.S. Supreme Court:

“Justice Souter has made New Hampshire very proud, and I congratulate him on his many years of honorable service.  It’s been an honor for our state to have somebody with Justice Souter’s integrity and intellect represent us so well, and I wish him the best as he finishes this term and on all his future endeavors.”
