Shaheen Statement on Shooting at Congressional GOP Baseball Practice

(Washington DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on the shooting that took place this morning at the Congressional GOP baseball practice in Alexandria, VA:

“My thoughts are with Congressman Steve Scalise, Congressional staff and Capitol Police who were wounded in today’s horrific shooting. As a Congress and as a nation, we must remain united against violence and terror in all forms. Today, we are also, once again, reminded of the valor of U.S. Capitol Police who put their lives on the line to protect these Members of Congress during this harrowing attack.”
