Shaheen Statement on the Inauguration of President Donald Trump

(Washington, DC)—Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) was in attendance at today’s inauguration of President Donald Trump and afterwards, delivered the following statement:

“Today our nation proudly demonstrated our longstanding tradition of the peaceful transfer of executive power,” said Shaheen. “I want to congratulate President Trump, our new First Lady, Melania, and the entire Trump family. It is now the job of President Trump to unite our country and be a President for every American. Over the next four years, I hope to work with President Trump where we can find common ground to address issues affecting Granite Staters and all Americans."
