Shaheen Statement on the Passing of Her Mother, Belle E. Bowers

(Manchester, NH)— U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on the passing of her mother Belle E. Bowers, who passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 94 in Somersworth, NH. Bowers was a native of Washington state.

"I am incredibly grateful for the expressions of sympathy from friends and Granite Staters ‎while my family reflects on my mother's life," said Senator Shaheen. "At 94, my mother lived a full life surrounded by family and loved ones. We will miss her greatly."

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Wiggin-Purdy Funeral Home in Dover. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 11 a.m at Dover Baptist Church.
