Shaheen Statement on the Passing of Martin Gross

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on the passing of former Concord Mayor Martin Gross:

“Billy and I were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Martin Gross. Marty was one of the very first people I met when I started out in politics. He was an inspiring and dedicated public servant who gave so much to the state he loved. New Hampshire owes him a great debt of gratitude. Right up until the end of his life, he was a man of great enthusiasms and passion. Today, my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

In addition to serving as Mayor of Concord, Martin Gross served as legal counsel to two New Hampshire governors, was a founding member of New Hampshire Public Radio and the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies.
