SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF MARY CHAMBERS

(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen today released the following statement in reaction to the passing of former New Hampshire House Democratic Leader and Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party Mary Chambers.

"During her years of service to New Hampshire, Mary Chambers became a role model for me and a pioneer for women in elective office.  She also became a personal friend.  We will miss her warmth, her grace, and the passion with which she lived her life.  My thoughts go out to her family."
