SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF PERKINS BASS

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) today released the following statement on the passing of former U.S. Congressman Perkins Bass:

“Perkins Bass embodied the ideals of public service.  As a major in the Army Air Force during World War II, as a New Hampshire state representative and state senator, as a U.S. Congressman, and finally as a Peterborough selectman, he devoted his entire life to serving his country, his state, and his community.

“His common-sense leadership and his unwavering commitment to the people of New Hampshire will be sorely missed.

“My thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and the entire Bass family.”
