SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF SENATOR BYRD

(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen released the following statement on today's passing of Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia:

"Today the people of West Virginia and the United States Senate lost one of the most dedicated and thoughtful public servants in American history.  My thoughts are with Senator Robert Byrd's family."
