SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON VOTE TO TRAIN AND EQUIP SYRIAN REBELS
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on Senate approval of legislation to train and equip moderate and vetted Syrian rebels:
“I have supported and will continue to support aggressive action to disrupt and degrade ISIL’s ability to threaten our citizens and our interests, and training and equipping vetted, moderate members of the Syrian opposition is an important component of the effort to confront ISIL.”
