Shaheen Thanks Director Montoya for his Outstanding Service to NH Veterans

(Manchester, NH)—U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement after being informed that the director of the Manchester VA Medical Center will be leaving to take another position within the VA:

“I join our veterans community and all Granite Staters in thanking Director Montoya for his extraordinary service,” said Shaheen. “It can’t be overstated how instrumental Director Montoya has been to changing the culture of the Manchester and White River Junction facilities, and improving care to the men and women who have served our country. In Manchester, he took over as director under very difficult circumstances, yet was able to immediately begin implementing successful reforms to operations and treatment delivery. While I’m greatly disappointed that he will no longer be leading the Manchester VA, I know his leadership and experience will improve care for veterans wherever he is called to serve. Director Montoya is an exemplary public servant and I wish him the very best in his next endeavor.”
