SHAHEEN VETERANS DAY STATEMENT

(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen today released the following statement in recognition of Veterans Day.  Also today, Shaheen delivered remarks at the Veterans Day ceremony at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

"On Veterans Day, we take a moment to remember the sacrifices of all those who have served.  Every day, our men and women in uniform put themselves in harm's way to protect our country and our way of life, and we must ensure that they and their families receive all the support they need and deserve.

"Over the past decade, this country's newest generation of veterans has reminded us of the courage and selflessness that our men and women in uniform have shown throughout our history.  Our veterans represent the best of America, and it is fitting that we pause today to offer appreciation for their service and patriotism."
