THURSDAY IN WHITEFIELD: SHAHEEN TO ANNOUNCE NORTH COUNTRY CELL PHONE PROJECT

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will join state and local officials to announce a grant to expand cell service and high-speed broadband in northern New Hampshire in Whitefield at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Through a public-private partnership cell service will be extended through the North Country using “WiFi Extender” technology that uses existing communications towers and provides “carrier neutral” 4G LTE voice and data service and high-capacity broadband with a much lower infrastructure investment.
