TOMORROW IN PITTSFIELD: SHAHEEN TO TOUR FIRE DAMAGE AT RUSTIC CRUST, DISCUSS SUPPORT FOR MANUFACTURING AT GLOBE MANUFACTURING
In Concord, Shaheen to visit Mapletree Farm In Manchester, Shaheen to speak at Adoptive Families for Children Foundation Hearts of Gold Dinner
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will tour two Rustic Crust facilities in Pittsfield at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow. Shaheen will tour the site damage of Rustic Crust’s production facility that suffered a devastating four-alarm fire earlier this month and will meet with company leadership at a temporary facility expected to start production in April. Shaheen will meet with Rustic Crust President and CEO Brad Sterl who will brief Shaheen on efforts to restart production.
Earlier in Pittsfield, Shaheen will visit Globe Manufacturing in at 10:45 a.m. where she will meet with Globe Manufacturing leadership to learn about the products the company produces for firefighters and how programs like the Assistance to Firefighters Grants program have helped the New Hampshire company. Shaheen will also tour Globe’s facility where they have been manufacturing equipment for firefighters since 1901.
Later, Shaheen will sample homemade maple syrup at Mapletree Farm in East Concord at 2:30 p.m. to promote New Hampshire’s maple sugar industry and Maple Weekend, which takes place this weekend from March 22-23 throughout New Hampshire. Mapletree Farm has been producing New Hampshire maple syrup for 39 years in East Concord.
In the evening, Shaheen will speak at the Adoptive Families for Children Foundation Hearts of Gold Dinner in Manchester at 6:00 p.m. The Hearts of Gold Dinner helps the Adoptive Families for Children Foundation promote its mission of finding permanent homes for all children.
