WEDNESDAY IN ROCHESTER: SHAHEEN HIGHLIGHTS PLAN TO MAKE CHILD CARE MORE AFFORDABLE FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE FAMILIES

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will tour the Rochester Child Care Center on Wednesday, August 20, in Rochester at 11:00 a.m. and discuss her plan to make child care more affordable for New Hampshire families by updating the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC). Currently, too many New Hampshire families are struggling with the high cost of child care which can run more than $11,000 annually. Shaheen’s legislation, the Helping Working Families Afford Child Care Act, would increase the amount of eligible child care expenses used to calculate the CDCTC and expand access to the tax cut to many New Hampshire families.

Media planning to attend should RSVP to: Nick_Brown@shaheen.senate.gov.
