Shaheen Statement on the Inauguration of President Donald Trump

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) today attended the inauguration of President Donald Trump and released the following statement: 

“Today we witnessed the peaceful transfer of power—a hallmark and guiding principle of American democracy. Now that he has been sworn in for a second term, it is my hope that President Trump will focus on being president for all Americans. I will work with anyone—Republicans, Democrats and Independents—to find common ground with the new administration to help lower costs, create more economic opportunities for families, strengthen our national security and deliver solutions on the issues that matter most to Granite Staters and all Americans.”
