Shaheen Statement on Tragic Death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent on Northern Border

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement on the tragic death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent near Vermont’s Norther Border:

“U.S. Border Patrol agents put their lives on the line every day to keep Americans safe and secure. Yesterday’s loss of an officer in the line of duty is a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the agent’s family and colleagues.

“I will continue to monitor the situation as more information becomes available and will keep advocating for more federal resources to ensure that U.S. Border Patrol agents have what they need to safely do their jobs.”
